Cannabis Gummy Bears

How to Make Cannabis infused gummy bears: A Full Guide

Preparing dishes using cannabis can be an enjoyable experience. It allows you to create delicious dishes that not only taste great but also offer a unique and exciting element.

Homemade cannabis gummies are undoubtedly one of the tastiest options among edible cannabis products. These small treats are made from fruit juice or various fruit flavors and have a significantly lower processed sugar content compared to traditional candies. With careful dosing, you can even reach the recommended daily sugar intake in a single bite!

In some countries where adult cannabis consumption is entirely legal, cannabis gummies may not be commercially available. Therefore, you might not have any other option than making your own gummies.

Below, you'll find a recipe for cannabis gummies, a popular and sweet delicacy.

Recipe for Delicious Cannabis Gummies
With this recipe for tasty cannabis gummies, you can enjoy a delightful combination of your daily fruit indulgence and THC in a particularly delicious way. The preparation is straightforward, and you'll quickly get the hang of it. The number of servings can vary depending on the size of your mold and the quantity of gummies you need to achieve your personal comfort level. However, please always be cautious with dosing and ensure responsible use.

Ingredients:

  • Cannabis tincture of your choice

  • 150ml fruit juice or puree

  • 3 tablespoons of gelatin powder (or use pectin, agar-agar, or carrageen for a vegan alternative)

  • 3 tablespoons of honey (or substitute with maple syrup, agave nectar, or dandelion honey for a vegan option)

How to train Cannabis for higher yields

  • Required Equipment

  • Silicone gummy mold

  • Medium-sized saucepan

  • Whisk

  • Dropper or pipette (included in some silicone sets)

  • Plastic wrap for covering

Production

  • Pour the juice or fruit puree into a saucepan and heat it gently over medium heat, stirring continuously. It is important to ensure that only the liquid is heated. If the temperature becomes too high, it can affect the effectiveness of the gelatin and may lead to the breakdown of cannabinoids and terpenes.

  • Add the desired amount of tincture and mix it thoroughly. Pay close attention to the dosage, as the amount of tincture needed depends mainly on its concentration. Typically, about three to four tablespoons are sufficient, although this amount may vary. Note that the quality of the tincture strongly depends on the materials used. Tincture made from high-quality buds definitely has a different quality than those made from plant material that fell off during pruning.

  • Gradually add the gelatin while continuously stirring. The speed at which this is done is crucial. Adding the gelatin too quickly may cause it to clump easily.

  • Gradually stir in the honey and taste intermittently. Adjust the sweetness according to personal preferences until the desired level of sweetness is achieved.

  • Fill the molds carefully using a syringe or pipette. Using a syringe or pipette allows for more precise and cleaner work compared to pouring the liquid into the molds or using a spoon.

  • Once you know the exact potency of your tincture, whether by measuring the THC content or through experience with the effects of a drop, it is now time to add the desired amount of THC tincture to each individual gummy bear.

  • Let the mixture set in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours. After it has completely set, gently remove the gummy bears from the mold. To ensure the correct dosage, it is recommended to try one gummy bear first and then wait for about an hour.

Storage

The storage of cannabis gummy bears (Edible)

Store your cannabis gummies in an airtight container or a bowl covered with plastic wrap in the refrigerator. They have a long shelf life, but for optimal potency, I recommend enjoying them within two weeks – if there are any left at all.

These homemade gummy bears are not only easy to make and delicious but also contain a wealth of valuable cannabinoids, making them a preferred choice among edible cannabis products (edibles).

Be sure to keep them out of the reach of children.
